Safe Place for Animals could not provide all the services we do without the help of our wonderful staff of volunteers. We are always looking for good volunteers and have numerous volunteering opportunities. If you like to walk dogs, cuddle cats, update media centers, clean kennels, or simply help at events we have something for you to help with.
You can fill out the volunteer form and email it to firstname.lastname@example.org or drop it off at the shelter. Don't miss the opportunity to be part of a great team!

Happy Tails News
Bella was so excited to go to her new forever home. She just loves her new dad!
was brought to SPA in 2010 because her owner no longer wanted to care
for her. She was then adopted by a wonderful family and they recently
wrote SPA to update us on how Ethyl is doing in her new life. Here is
what they wrote and some of the images they shared
the summer of 2010, SPA allowed us to adopt perhaps the greatest gift
of our lives, Ethyl. The day we got her we brought her home to our
Tennessee home she became part of our family. Ethyl had 5 acres on which
to run and play. However, she primarily preferred to sit on the front
porch with her people or stay inside with her cat.
the end of that year, she relocated to the city of St. Petersburg,
Florida. She travelled back and forth between Tennessee and Florida a
few times and enjoyed the car rides and hotel stays.
the move, she has come to enjoy the beach, doggie day care, long walks
around the pond, carrots and her new cat, Toonces. She enjoys dining out
in the many dog friendly restaurants and cafés that the city has to
offer. Oh, and she really has gotten accustomed to the Temperpedic bed
over the bedroom floor.
She has really spoiled us,
Thanks for the best dog anyone could wish for,
